A picture post

Peter "the Great" piloting the storm cloud he brought over Russia.

A strange statue to find in any case and especially among old Soviet statues: Archbishop Makarios of Cyprus.

Memorial sculpture of sorts for those who were repressed by the Reds.

very much thrown by the Makarios! Where did you take these?

This was in, of all places, a graveyard of old Soviet statues and such. If I remember correctly this statue was made in the mid-80's.

The graveyard's rough location?

Mid-80s does appear to be the high-point of Makarios' statue-production.
I had assumed that the plaques of most statues don't make it to the graveyard but if this Makarios has managed to keep his, then his past might be traceable. Thrilling.
